Retire Early With Residual Income

If you type in the words home business in any major search engine youll quickly reach the following conclusion: There are no shortages of work at home opportunities available in todays marketplace. That being the case, deciding among them obviously requires an objective comparison of one company to the next. I wont list all the possible criteria for measuring a business or income opportunity here, but I will list one of the major ones--the compensation plan.

Now when you start comparing the comp plans of all the different companies you soon reach another conclusion--not all work at home opportunities are created equal. Perhaps the single greatest difference among them is whether or not they offer whats undoubtedly the most lucrative pay out plan ever devised. Im referring, of course, to residual income.

One of the more obvious reasons that residual income is superior to all other plans is that it allows one to work smarter rather than harder. Meaning, no matter what business youre involved in, the only way to earn a profit is to first make an investment in the form of personal effort, time and capital. Theres simply no way around that fact. So since youre going to make the investment anyway, why not work a business that will continually pay you month after month for that investment instead of one that will only pay you once?

This all seems simple enough, right? However, despite its simplicity and unmatched earning potential, its not uncommon for people to balk at how time consuming or difficult it can be to earn a significant residual income, especially in network marketing.

Now Im not hear to say that generating large residual checks is quick and easy, or that it requires little or no effort. Quite frankly, such a claim would be absurd, but its equally absurd to object to the fact that earning a residual income is not this way. After all, one of the most basic laws of business is the proportionate relationship between risk and reward i.e. the greater the potential for reward, the greater the risk involved.

All this to say that, yes, in order to achieve the great benefit of receiving a sizeable residual check each and every month--regardless of whether or not you decided to work during those 30 days--requires that you first invest the necessary time and money into building a large enough client base to generate it. This may seem like a daunting task now, but once done, the rewards will last a lifetime.

In summary, no other form of compensation in the home based business world offers the long term security, freedom and independence as residual income. So if you have the opportunity to earn residual income in your home based business, then I encourage you to commit yourself to doing whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to grow your monthly residual checks until they at least cover all of your monthly expenses. Trust me, theres no greater feeling than the one you get from knowing youre working because you want to, and not because you have to.

L1 Visa Renewal Challenges

The L1 visa is one of the most popular vehicles by which the owners of foreign businesses can obtain permanent status in the United States by expanding operations to the United States. The process is carried out in three steps:

First, the initial L1 visa is issued for a period of one year to set up operations of the new U.S. branch;

Second, the L1 visa must be renewed based (in part) on the first-year record of the U.S. branch;

Third, once renewed, for an additional 2 years, the L1 visa holder may apply for permanent residency with the support of the U.S. branch.

It would not be an exaggeration to state that the USCIS often approves the initial L1 visa on a vision -- supported by a well drafted business plan and a convincing amount of money in the bank. However, if getting ones foot in the door seems easy enough, renewal of the visa frequently turns out to be a nightmare for the applicant who -- more often than not -- has uprooted hearth and home with the intention of permanently relocating to the United States.

Our firm has reviewed the decisions in all cases published in 2005 by the Administrative Appeals Unit of the Department of Justice in which the USCIS denied a petition for L1A visa renewal. In 98% of these cases the reasons for the denial were virtually identical:

1. The petitioner did not establish that the beneficiary will be employed in a primarily managerial or executive capacity;
2. The petitioner did not employ adequate or sufficient personnel.
3. The petitioner did not establish physical offices;

The biggest mistake most applicants and/or their immigration lawyers make is to assume that the same duties that supported the initial visa petition will be sufficient to support the renewal. This assumption is fatal to a renewal case. This is because the duties an L1A beneficiary must undertake in the first year to set-up operations must include - by necessity - non-managerial and non-executive essential functions such as administration, marketing, public relations, and human resource management.

The USCIS is mindful that such non-qualifying duties are required to get the new operation off the ground. However, the applicable regulations grant a company only one year to accomplish this. By the time the renewal petition must be filed, these non-managerial and non-executive duties must have been transferred to locally employed personnel, working in actual physical offices. The size of the staff is not important; only that it be adequate to cover the afore-mentioned essential functions.

In a typical case, this issue comes to light when the company or its lawyer receives a request for additional evidence (an "RFE") from the USCIS. The RFE usually requests a very detailed accounting of the beneficiary's duties, a detailed organizational chart showing the names of all individuals employed by the U.S. company, as well as a detailed accounting of their duties, and payroll and tax records proving the locally employed employees.

Upon receipt of the RFE, some companies try to remedy the lack of essential personnel by quickly engaging a few people solely to satisfy the RFE, or they attempt to justify the use off-shore personnel to cover these functions. A review of the published denials, however, reveals that such quick-fix attempts are a reason, in and of themselves, for the denial. Such quick-fixes simply serve to demonstrate that the new company has not reached the level of development required at the one-year mark. In short, a petitioner that finds itself at the receiving end of an RFE questioning whether the beneficiary will be employed in a primarily managerial or executive capacity should seriously consider other visa options.

In our opinion, the wisest course is to plan a renewal strategy as part of your initial case preparation. Aside from being a sound business practice, this course of action will go quite far to avoid any unpleasant and potentially catastrophic surprises in the future.

Make Your USP Unique Selling Propositions Work

Not all created unique selling propositions end up getting the attention and clamor of its targeted customers. There are just so many USPs all over the world, and if you want yours to stand out amidst this sea of propositions, you need to possess four major big things so that you can really make it big in this business. While they are no surefire guarantees to success, you will still gain a great advantage making sure you have them.

Big Promise

A unique selling proposition is given attention when it gives a big promise to its reader. The reader will not really care if you are a good writer or if you have this and that. The very first question they will ask for any sales pitch you present them with is: Whats in it for me? You must be able to answer that question with a resounding bang if you want to generate positive results.

Just what constitutes a big promise? Simply put, you just give something revolutionary for your readers in the target market to consider. Your unique selling proposition must have them wanting to get their hands on the deal that you are giving them. When you are making this unique selling proposition, you must really create hype and make sure that your stuff will not easily be ignored by the people in your selected niche.

However, if you have a big promise, you must have other big things to back it up, which brings us to the next requirements.

Big Proof

Your big promise will only be credible and believable if you have big proof to support it. If you are not able to support your claims accordingly, all people will see is just that you are just a whole bunch of fluff trying to siphon money off their pockets. Have a big proof to support everything you say. If you are claiming success or superior service quality, then you must have people who can attest to that.

Testimonials, free trials and the like are ways to be able to help generate the big proof that big promises require. Whether you are new in the business or seasoned with a good client base, you will always have to prove you and your business credibility and worth consistently. If you are able to sustain this, this will really help you get established in your niche and give them the notion and idea that you are really reliable and excellent.

Big Benefit

When you have a big promise and big proof, it will only be able to make your prospects be willing to try it out if the big benefit is spelled out clearly for them in big and bold letters. Make sure that you are able to emphasize on the big benefit they can be getting from your promise which is backed up by your proof.

When making your unique selling proposition, never assume things. Be as explicit, daring and bold as you possibly can. This is the only way you can really get the best clients. In this world where so many things are fighting for your prospects attention, your banner must be really loud and proud enough to make them see and hear and possibly do business with you.

2006 FIFA World Cup Final in Germany

One of the most wonderful and exciting event of the last year naturally was the FIFA WM 2006. Millions of people from all over the world came to Germany. I went to visit my relatives in Cologne that summer. The streets were full of football moonstruck and not only men, but women too. It seemed that this event opened the hearts of all Germans. In addition as you know the official slogan of the 2006 FIFA Word Cup was: A time to make friends. After the championship Germans were lauded for their hospitability. During the World Cup they gained new friends world-wide. I have many examples to prove it. I watched many different situations when people who didn't know each other became the best friends during and after the tournament. Our neighbor invited people who came to watch the WM into his house without any payment for their stay. He didnt know those people at all. They lived in tents in his garden and some of them lived in his house too. He fed them and drove to the matches. At night they made great noise and for some of us it was too loud. Although neither the host of the house nor the neighbors did say anything. That man spent with his guests the whole summer.

The streets in the city are always crowded but during the FIFA they seemed to be overcrowded. There is one thing I liked the best. There were some artists in the streets. Those artists painted their bodies in gold, silver, white or black, some of them were painted in colors of the flags of those countries that took part in the tournament. Those artists stood on the streets the whole day motionless. But when you came by and put some money in their hats or boxes in front of them they changed their positions, they moved. Only one movement and then static position again. They even didnt blink or yawn. Not a single movement! It was very amusing to watch them. It seemed so easy to stay motionless. Moreover, I want to add that I tried to do it myself, but it was so difficult. That is why I can say that I admired those brave artists who made their job so exciting and excellent.

There were a lot of flags during the championship. The flags of Germany were everywhere, but there were also and flags of other countries. So, flags were on the top of every house, on the bridges, on the cars, on the T-shirts. People even painted their faces in red, yellow, and black. They said that yellow was for their football team that was like a gold; red was for their blood that was up in their veins; black was for their land they lived in and for the land they were so proud of.

The Germans were really crazy because of that championship. Berlin was definitely the main city those days and the Olimpiastadion was the venue for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Final. It was the big centre of that world performance. There were big viewing areas called Fan Fests in every city on the central squares. People could watch the World Cup matches in public. If I say that millions of people were there every day I definitely wont lie.

It doesnt matter what country are you from. Everybody liked that time, that summer. It was summer of joy, happiness, friendship and fun.

Germans wrote many songs dedicated to World Cup, but the most popular was, certainly, Generation that became the anthem of the championship.

Germans thought that theyll win the World Cup, but they failed to win it. I was very sorry for that. I imagine how great will be general excitement in case of their victory. Although the championship brought a great success for Germany in general. And I didn't regret about anything. I was very glad that I had the opportunity to watch the FIFA World Cup Final and to take part in that exciting passion for football. It was great and I had a lot of fun.
